Introduction

Why studying for free in America is possible, even from a poor family.

You want to study in America, but you think it is too expensive, too complicated, or just not possible for someone like you. I understand. I felt the same way. But I am here to tell you that it IS possible, and this guide will show you exactly how.

My name is William Kaseu, also known as William Le Beau. I am an international student who came to the United States from South Africa with a full scholarship. I did not come from a wealthy family. I did not have connections. I just had determination and the right information. Now I want to give you that same information.

This guide is especially for students from poor families who want to study in America. If your family struggles financially, this guide is for you.

Here is the key concept you need to understand: there are schools in America that promise to "meet 100% of your demonstrated financial need." That means if you get accepted and your family cannot afford to pay, the school pays for everything — tuition, housing, food, books. The school calculates what your family can realistically pay, and covers the rest. Most of this money comes in the form of grants — free money you never have to pay back. Some packages may include small loans, but at many top schools, the entire package is free money.

This guide is your complete roadmap to studying in America for free or almost free as an international student. I am going to walk you through everything: finding schools that will pay for you, filling out applications, applying for financial aid, getting accepted, obtaining your visa, and arriving on campus.

Before you dive in, I recommend watching the overview video on my YouTube channel to get the big picture:

Important: This guide is for students applying after high school (freshman applicants). If you have already started college or completed any university-level coursework (such as an HND), most US schools will require you to apply as a transfer student. I have a separate course for that: Full Scholarships for International Transfer Students.

This guide is broken into chapters. You can read it straight through or jump to the chapter you need most. Every chapter builds on the last, so if you are starting from zero, I recommend going in order.

Here is what we will cover:

  1. Schools That Pay for You — A list of 60+ schools that meet 100% of your financial need
  2. The Common Application — How to fill out your application step by step
  3. Financial Aid — How to apply for money to pay for school
  4. Getting Accepted — What schools are looking for and how to stand out
  5. When and How to Apply — Deadlines, timelines, and strategies
  6. The Visa Process — Everything from your I-20 to arriving in America
  7. FAQ — Answers to the most common questions
  8. Final Words — A message from me to you

This is not just about getting a degree. This is about changing your life and your family's future.
